About Flowerpunks

(Owners of the Bloom Artizen NFT will have early access to the genesis drop of Flowerpunks).

Each Flowerpunks NFT is a unique, single edition made by artist Magenta Ceiba. They are made with Midjourney, hand-painting, and sometimes animations.

Flowerpunks speak to a spiritual place in art-making, where novel creatures are made, and where fundamentals of life are tended to by caring, wise beings. Magenta reveals unseen places of magic in spectacular color and a cuteness that melts your heart.

Magenta remixes concepts and aesthetics in surprising ways. Flowerpunks is inspired by her lust for reading everything she can get her hands on about art history, art criticism and philosophy, and "comparative aesthetics" (why different cultures make art and what it's about).

Pro tip - with Midjourney it's helpful to specify the medium you want it to look like, whether that is a specific camera for photography, or a specific animation software or hardware tool.

Flowerpunks is a benefit for Bloom Network, a cyber-physical social network that helps people find and participate in local climate and social repair actions.

Proceeds are split 50:30:20
  • 50% to the Bloom Network action rewards pool, to pay people for contributing labor to community-led projects
  • 30% to the artist
  • 20% to the artist's Local Bloom hub.

Resale royalities are 3% and go to a payment splitter with this same ratio.

This ratio is a template for other artists who want to support Bloom Network! We are a creative community and I would love for this to become a common way to help finance the work on the ground that has been historically excluded from mainstream grants.
